Inspired by the ever-changing movement of the ocean, Ocean Motion explores the energy, rhythm, and visual sensations experienced beneath the surface.

As a scuba diver and underwater artist, I am fascinated by the way water transforms our perception of the world. During my dives, I observe how sunlight penetrates the water, creating constantly shifting patterns of light and shadow. Currents, floating particles, and the movement of marine life become an ever-changing dance of shapes and colours.

This painting was created underwater at a depth of 14.6 metres. Working directly beneath the surface, I embraced the intuitive nature of underwater painting, allowing the surrounding environment and the sensations of weightlessness to guide my artistic decisions. Rather than reproducing a specific underwater scene, I wanted to translate the energy and movement of the ocean into an expressive composition.

Bold palette-knife strokes, layered blues, and contrasting textures capture the feeling of being immersed in another dimension — where movement, light, and colour become an entirely different experience.
